I have been making Christmas Cakes for over 26 years delighting my family and friends with my moist and tasty treats. I make them in my kitchen in Vulcan, Alberta, Canada from a recipe that has been in the family for several generations.  One of my customers, an elderly lady, told me that this is the real Christmas cake she remembers from years gone by.  I have been told that my cakes bring back memories of Christmas past, of a joyful time when things were simpler and families gather around to celebrate the holidays.  Whether you want to capture the memories of Christmas past or want to start creating new memories, my cakes can be part of your Christmas traditions. I do not bake my cakes.  They are steamed for three hours and then, while still warm, wrapped in cheesecloth soaked liberally in dark rum.  For shipping they are wrapped in two layers of saran and then gift wrap.  As soon as Christmas is over I start making them for the next year, because the longer they remain refrigerated the more moist and wonderful the flavor. I hope you will enjoy them as much as I enjoy making them; they are a true labour of love.
